Quote of the day

"You cannot hold on to anything good. You must be continually giving - and getting. You cannot hold on to your seed. You must sow it - and reap anew. You cannot hold on to riches. You must use them and get other riches in return."

Food, Food. Oh Glorious Food

Friday, December 2, 2012

Author's Note: Just because you are different from everyone else doesn't mean that doesn't mean that you can't be yourself.

Food, food. Oh, glorious food. The smell was over powering as poofy paws padded forward. GRUMBLE!!!
“Oops,” a low voice mumbled. A round shape waddled into view. There were gasps coming from almost every corner in the room.
“Hay!” a ginger cat hisses. “That is my food!”  she gave him a little nudge and the round shape groaned and toppled to the ground. “You should stop eating other cats’ food and just eat your own, you mangy beast!” The ginger cat’s name was Princess and the number one cat she hated was Balloon, the fattest cat that she had ever known.
“Um.. I need a little help here!” Balloon wined on his back. He tried to role over but he landed on one of the new additions to the house, Kassey.
“Help!” her muffled scream came from under his round stomach.
“Oops. I didn’t see you down there,” Balloon stepped aside and helped the little kitten up.
“Well, you didn’t see me because your too fat!” Kassey hissed. A pitch black she-cat stepped forward.
“Well, it wasn’t my fault I’m fat!” Balloon hissed and waddled over to the kitchen.
“There is no need to yell at him Kassey,” she told her kindly. “We all got used to him eventually.” Kassey tried to smile but they could tell that she wasn’t happy. The black she-cat took her to her bead and than went to go talk to the ginger cat.
In the kitchen......
Balloon was upset that Kassey didn’t like him. Balloon liked kittens. There was only one solution to this sadness, a little snack. Balloon staggered to his stubby looking hind legs and reached for the refrigerator handle.
“And what do you think you’re doing?” the black cat mewed.
“I’m upset so I will eat something,” he mewed sadly.
“My name is Steve,” she mewed happily.
“Would you like a burrito?” Balloon asked as he tore a piece of the burrito off and ate it.
“Sure!” then she went to taco Bell and ate all the burritos. “That was amazing!” Steve purred. She was as she could be, and from that day forward she went to Taco Bell every day and ate 10 Burritos.
